Colchester University

We were asked to manufacture and install two bespoke staircases to Colchester Universities new campus. 

The most striking one incorporated wrapping the top and bottom of a steel structure with engineered Oak, gaps at the edge of the structure with minimal tie ins made the steps appear as if the were floating from certain viewpoints.

All steps had black oak strips rebated into the tread and riser as a both safety and design feature.
